The .IE Domain Registry has recently introduced a Restore Fee for restoring domains that have entered the redemption grace period. The redemption grace period starts once a request to delete the domain has been received by the Registry and last for 30 days. For example if a domain wasn't renewed by it's expiry date of August 1st, the domain will enter the redemption grace period on August 10th (we offer a 10 day grace period) and the domain can be renewed up until September 6th by paying the Restore Fee AND the standard renewal fee. This means the Restore Fee will now be charged on any domain that isn't renewed within 10 days of it's expiry date.
The current restore fee can be found on the domain pricing page at https://www.alwaysamber.ie/panel/domain/pricing/ .

Domains that are within the redemption grace period and have not yet been deleted. - Will the Restore Fee be refunded if the customer changes their mind?
No. Once the restoration has been processed, the Restore Fee is non-refundable. - Can a domain be transferred while it is in the expiry grace period or after restoration?
A domain cannot be transferred while it is in the expiry grace period. It must first be restored by paying the applicable Restore Fee and renewal fee. Once the domain has been restored and is in good standing, it can then be transferred following normal procedures.
